CHOOSE THE RIGHT SHOES FOR YOUR BODY AND STYLE.

“Give A Woman A Nice Pair Of Heels And She Can Conquer The World!!”

They weren’t lying when they said that actually.Men should be afraid. Yes, it is a threat.

I like to refer to myself as “petite”, now haters out there are going off like,”no girl, you are short”, “girl please, i cant even see you from up here, and I’m not that tall”. Please, I am petite, allow it or allow it. Anyway, looking great in your shoes has everything to do with your body shape, height, the shoe and your personal style. Now I’m not saying I follow the rules, heck! I break many. Here’s which styles to seek and which to avoid.

Let’s start off with the basics many may not know.

KNOW YOUR BODY SHAPE.

know your shape.

Now that we have that taken care of, let’s get into what shoes work best for you.

IF YOU’RE PETITE (SMALL, SHORT LEGS).

Heels
A colourful heel is best for elongating your legs and drawing attention downwards.

Platforms
Platforms are a great way of adding height while still being comfortable. Avoid ankle straps as can make you seem shorter by breaking up the length of your leg.ami club wear booties

IF YOU’RE AN APPLE (CARRIES MOST OF THE WEIGHT AROUND THE MIDDLE, USUALLY WITH SKINNY LEGS).

Gladiator Sandals
If you are an apple with skinny legs, gladiator sandals can be a good choice – and one that is not advisable for body types with wider ankles as the straps are unflattering.
Stilettos
Draw attention to your legs with embellished ankle straps.

IF YOU’RE AN INVERTED TRIANGLE (WIDE SHOULDER, SMALLER HIPS, SKINNY LEGS), OPT FOR…

Pumps
Ballet pumps are a woman’s wardrobe classic but their dainty width means they are best avoided unless you have long slim legs. If you are an inverted triangle, experiment with bright colours to draw attention to your lower and smaller half.
Chunky Sandals
It is best to go for chunky sandals to avoid looking top heavy. If you have skinny legs, you can experiment with ankle straps – otherwise, it is best to steer clear as they can make ankles look bigger than they actually are.

IF YOU’RE A SQUARE (STRAIGHT UP, STRAIGHT DOWN, NOT MUCH DEFINITION)
Court Shoes
Simple shoes are best for a square figure. Classic courts in a neutral tone elongate legs for an elegant feminine look.
Loafers
Square figures can look great if you embrace more androgynous styles that curvier girls can’t. Loafers are the perfect accompaniment to a shirt and skinny cigarette pants.

IF YOU’RE AN HOURGLASS (CURVY HIPS, SMALL WAIST, FULL BUM, WIDE SHOULDERS)

Peeptoe Heels
A feminine peep-toe can compliment your curves. A neutral colour like these Christian Louboutin’s  is versatile and won’t detract attention from your killer waist.

Brogues
Brogues are a versatile style, which can be worn with masculine tailoring, or with dresses and skirts for a more vintage preppy look.

IF YOU’RE A PEAR (SMALL TOP WITH A FULLER MIDDLE AND BUM, USUALLY WITH LARGER LEGS).
Wedges
Opt for an open-toe wedge to lengthen your pins but make sure it is a chunky style to balance out a curvier upper body.

Heeled trainers
Heeled trainers are casual alternative to wedges – perfect for the active woman. The incline and size will lengthen and slim your legs.

OK I believe I gave you all a tiny idea on what to wear and what to avoid. Trust me, I actually have seen women wear shoes that are miles away from fitting their body shapes but I didn’t quite understand why they looked so horrid, well, I’ve been there too, never again!! I hope you enjoyed this, please leave your comments and I’ll be back next time.

Happy shopping!!!!  or should I say

Happy throwing out and buying new shoes!!!!
